Scrabble

Scrabble - now Elwood. We adopted him in May, with Carbon Copy, now Jake. From the beginning, Elwood has been a very social cat, wanting to be with one of us whenever possible, and greeting visitors to our home. He will follow us around the house, and likes to walk across keyboards when we are working at the computer. Elwood likes to get in the stuffed chair and 'kneed' us before settling down next to us or running off on the next adventure. He knows he is handsome and poses often. He plays independently with little toy mice and likes to chase the lazer light. He is excited to be giving the SFAAR calendar to friends this Christmas, especially since he is one of the cats featured in November!

Senya

I adopted this beautiful girl on May 21st, 2011. She has a room set up in the basement with her food/water and litter, and a cat flap that lets her come into the rest of the house. Within two days of coming into my home with two dogs, she was spending more time upstairs than down! She tolerates the dogs, even allowing them to sniff her face for a few seconds before meowing at them to back off. I am confident that she will warm to them over time, maybe even cuddling up on a cold winter evening! She has become quite playful, performing contortions catching and chasing glittery balls and catnip toys. She also enjoys sitting in the windows watching "kitty TV" especially the living room window with a bird feeder just outside. Senya has adjusted remarkably quickly, and is a joy to have around. I am so thankful to your organization for offering her a chance at a new life with me and the boys, and to her for being such an amazing cat!

I wanted to let you know that she is doing very well, has had a tummy issue since day 1 but I am trying to figure out what’s going on. She gets along great with my 3 year old boxer, he had a surgery about 2 weeks ago and she was right by him sleeping and when he would wake up she would wake me up letting me know he was up. It took a while for her to get along with him but now she is his best friends. I just wanted to give you an update, here are some pics of her and her fave spots to sit.
