Forest Lake PetSmart Adoption Center Sparkle Crew

Forest Lake PetSmart allows us to house some of our cats and kittens in their Adoption Center.  If you've ever had a kitten or a frisky cat, you know they can sometimes cause in mess. Expecially kittens playing in the litter box!

Sparkle Crew volunteers help us keep the Adoption Center clean, neat and tidy. This is very much needed for the health of our animals who are temporarily housed there. Days and times to clean our extemely flexible so it is easy to fit it into yur day. 


Animal Transporter

Cats and kittens come to St. Francis of Assisi Animal Rescue (SFAAR) from animal control facilities, owner surrenders, other rescue organizations, etc. Sometimes, volunteers are needed to pick up and transport these animals to SFAAR and veterinary appointments.

Home Visits

To ensure our cats are cared for in safe, loving homes, a volunteer will visit each potential foster home. t

Home visits give the potential foster a chance to get all questions answered. As well as the volunteer to ask questions. 

Education

Occasionally, SFAAR will be invited to speak and bring some of our cats or kittens to a school, Boy/Girl Scout meeting, Lions Club, etc. We provide information on the role of SFAAR in the community, pet overpopulation, volunteer opportunities, animal care and general information on rescue organizations.


Community Events

Throughout the year, SFAAR is invited to participate in community events. These include events such as Taco Daze - Scandia's Annual Community Festival and Ki Chi Saga Days in Center City. 

We need volunteers at these events to sell animal themed items, man fundraising games and provide information about our organization.
